ABOUT ME

I once bet my entire future on a long-shot gray horse in a horse race and the flip of a coin. The horse's win inspired me to sell all my belongings and move to a location dictated by the flip of the coin. It paid off, not only with a unique career opportunity, but by meeting wonderful people who became more family than friends.

I've been in most states east of the Mississippi but have dreamed of visiting Europe since I was a very young girl. While I love taking in the sites, I most enjoy getting off the beaten path and meeting the people who call my destination home and learning of their culture through them, not a placard attached to a monument (although I am a museum junky too). I'™m a big fan of history and enjoy teaching anyone who will listen obscure facts about my own country and area'€™s history.

My sense of humor has gotten me in trouble a time...

I like to learn new languages but am open to learning whatever there is to learn. As far as teaching, if I don't know it, I'll make it up!
