ABOUT ME

I like to think myself as a tolerant, peaceful person, interested in meeting new people, sharing experiences and basically just being happy. I'm interested in people in general, so meeting a new person, especially from another country is usually an interesting experience for me, therefore, I'm quite social - at least I hope so :).
In general, I work during the days, so if you come, I will only be available from late afternoon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been using Couchsurfing for my travels always, since university - during the year we have been hosting a lot in dorm and flat too, it has always been a very valuable and rich experience. Before I had my own, I shared profile with Zita Bagdi, you can look her up.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been in a lot of places through the years, always with girlfriend, probably the trips to Turkey or Finland were the most important ones. We met open-minded, friendly people, unbelievably friendly hosts, so all in all, CS gave a lot of value to me.
We also hosted a couple of people, we always had a bit tricky situation, since during the university we have been living mostly in dormitory, where's not so much room. But our surfers were always understanding and grateful, that's also what I want to be, when surfing.

Interests

Movies: I couldn't say even a favourite genre, especially not a favourite movie, it really depends on my mood, although I'm very interested in movies in general. Same for music.
Books: Mainly short stories, however recently I haven't read as much as I'd like myself to.
Bicycle: Everyday user and big fan. :)
People: I could say lots of other things that I love to do, but basically I love/loved them because I did them with the certain people. It doesn't matter what I do as long as I have a good company.

Music, Movies, and Books

I could write a lot of movies or a lot of actors, but it wouldn't really make sense to list them, so I just say, I like movies that has a simple, but basic moral - for example a Bronx Tale, Green Street Hooligans, The mechanic, of Miyazaki's beautiful works.

It's a bit easier with music:
I like everything with a good rythm and clean chords - therefore, I don't like bossa nova and don't really get jazz for example. I'm really interested in sophisticated electronic music, like Amon Tobin, but I also like good trip-hop, or even basic hip-hop, like Nas, and also even Kid Rock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Social life in Turkey: We could experience a whole different atmosphere in Turkey, while walking on the streets of Istanbul, or else; chaotic, yet friendly.

Urban life in Finland: Being an architecture student, it was incredible to see that purified design in Turku, but other than that, it is just an adorable city.

Nature in Finland: Although basically I'm more interested in man-made creation, the natural world of Finland, the systems of the lakes and the preserved wildlife really impressed me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will gladly join you for a chilling drink in a peaceful place nearby, especially in the weekends, since I'm working during the day. We can jam on the guitar, play some basketball if the weather is nice, and tell each other experiences, philosophies, debate on issues, movies, have fun.
I can teach you how to fold a t-shirt in two moves, how to open a beer bottle with a key, how to do a handstand, and other useless, but fun abilities.

What I Can Share with Hosts

While you're here, you are welcome to use, read, play every general appliance, accessory in the flat, I'd be glad if you'd feel at home here. Although I can only join you after work, I would like to hear your story and share mine with you. I will help you to get around town and seek for the information you need while you're visiting the city.
