About Me

Think of a leaf. A tiny, inconsequential looking leaf. In the middle of a nice season (not fall, because this leaf be dead in fall). It's just come into this big bad world and is trying to feel its way around everything. It tries it best, always on the lookout for a nice ray of sunshine, hungry for growth and energy. A metaphor for unselfish hope.
That's not me.
I'm the guy who's been staring at that leaf for the past 15 minutes trying to write something about it because the weather is so nice outside and I don't really feel like doing any work.

What? I'm sorry! I'm not really good at this "Tell me about yourself" stuff.

Okay, another try. Here goes:

Imma be a certified astrophysicist. Soon. Hopefully. I didn't always want to be one though. As far back as I can remember, I wanted to be an astronaut (who doesn't?), then, a nuclear physicist, then I kinda forgot about all of that stuff while trying to get through college and hoping for a regular job or something.
Then I took a couple of really fun courses in the last couple of years at college: introductory astronomy and relativity. Kiddie dreams forced their way back through. Figured, well, if I can't immediately go up there, I can at least try to figure out the what and why of the stuff I used to love reading about in books.
So here I am. Working on a project on astrophysical simulations before I go for a PhD in the same. In a place far from home. Which is nice since I like travelling.

I guess this is the part where people talk about their interests and shit. I'll keep it brief. I like most music, reading fiction (mostly), sketching, watching movies (soft spot for horror and science fiction), playing guitar, getting to know people and...okay, I get it, I'll shut up, please stop yawning, at least.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend recommended I check it out.
Also, figured I'll probably have more interesting experiences this way. More human interaction.
Also also, cheaper than booking a hotel. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Note: I won't be able to host anyone for a few months since I'm living in a terribly tiny dorm room. I'm so sorry about that. :|

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you like to play an instrument, we can jam.
I have a nice little movie collection, built over a year of not doing anything else at college.
I can discuss about music and movies and books, if that's your thing.
Worst case scenario: I read you some of my shitty poetry.
