To become unstuck in time...
ABOUT ME
What can I say? I'm just a kid from Melbourne intent on seeing the world. I'm drawn to the most culturally significant of buildings, paintings and music, but I'm also drawn in by the dank, dirty underbelly of a city's lost, forgotten or ignored abandonment, its urban art and its rock n roll. I can't imagine that one could live without the other and I want nothing more than to explore it all with friends old and new.
I have been traveling since I was very young. I'm down to earth and enjoy the simple things - food, shelter, space, music, silence, laughter. I don't see the world as my personal playground but a space where it is important to be reserved and receptive to others and to my surroundings. That said, when appropriate, it is important to drink, be merry, make fun and bring others along for the ride.
PHILOSOPHY
See the world for its good/bad, light/dark, up/down, and appreciate the complicated beauty of every minute.
So it goes...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been hanging out with other surfers for years without realising it. I've stayed with them, they've stayed with me and we've travelled together. Only recently have I discovered that it has a name. I'm travelling at the moment and would love to meet people. Rest assured all will be welcome on my couch when I return.
Interests
Urban exploration - the moment I enter a new city I can't wait to see its underground spaces, its abandoned buildings and its rooftop views. If I can do it with like-minded people and enjoy some drinks along the way then all the better.
Music - Music is a great passion of mine. I work in the music industry as a live sound engineer. I'm the guy behind the knobs and faders in the middle of the room, or running around on the stage between the bands. When I'm not working I'm listening to punk, grunge, classical, ska, folk, hip-hop, soul and eveything in between.
Camping - I love cities but there's nothing better than getting away and enjoying the simplicity of a campfire, bushwalking and sleeping under the stars.
Photography, animals, climbing, caving, cycling, sleeping.
People - I've never met anyone I haven't learnt something from. I love to hear stories, tall and short, and imagine what it is like to walk in someone else's shoes. People are endlessly inspiring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Searching the remote centre of Australia for a rare butterfly with an indigenous elder as a guide. Stories, adventure, history, and more stars than I ever thought possible.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't claim to know much about anything. By ourselves we don't have much capactiy. With all of the skills, small and large, tangible and ethereal that we thought were useless, together we can achieve anything.
Realisitically, I've worked in airports, theatres, office buildings, factories, stadiums, on the open road, at festivals and from my bedroom. I've learnt a little along the way about politics, music, rigging, truck driving, logistics, boredom, listening, business and climbing things.
I've guided aeroplanes and cleaned their windscreens, I've dug holes and pruned trees, I've driven trucks and set up concerts in stadiums, I've carried bags and waited on rockstars, I've discussed politics with cleaners and gone kayaking with ambassadors, talked religion with children and philosophy whith dogs. Jack of all trades, master of none!
