ABOUT ME

Retired early from medical/business/insurance complex. Have cycled with wife throughout the United State, Canada and Alaska mainly camping, hosteling when able. Live in home (to large)overlooking Mississippi River near where the USA Discovery Trail and Mississippi River trail intersect.

PHILOSOPHY

To be brief and trite. "We are all in this together", "No one gets out alive" "Life is a journey searching for a destination"

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have hosted travelers I have met while cycling locally. I initially assisted CS's who stayed CSing with my son locally and begin hosting and have now also CS along with my wife.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Before CS had occasionally hosted travelers that I have met while cycling locally. I have also assisted CS's who have CSed with my son. Have now enjoyed hosting several CS and been pleased to be able to surf once.

Tandem bicycled USA coast to coast in 17 continuous (150 mile day) days and 760 miles in continuous 86 hours in France (when we thought we had to do things fast!) Bicycled from El Paso Texas to the Arctic Circle (over several summers).
