CURRENT MISSION

Hi lovely hosts/surfers, I'm Tandy & I'll be traveling with my girlfriend, Amanda (pictured in my profile picture as well) for a year! We both have packed up our lives in the States for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

About us

We live for pure adrenaline, exploring the world, and going on wild adventures. We also love meeting new people! One important thing you should know about us: we both are Deaf and use American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate, however if we're staying with you, we'll be communicating using English (which we both write/type very well) via paper&pen method or via phone. We can also teach you some signs if you'd like to learn a bit about our language!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We enjoy socialize with new people, exploring new places and learning new cultures. We all live in one same world, right? We'd hate to miss out on what is happening around the world as well as learning about others' stories and couchsurfing can provide that very well! :)

Speaking of that, there is nothing I love more than sharing travel experiences/adventures with all the surfers around the world!

My couchsurfing experience:

I've used couchsurfing via travel partner's account. I used CS in Puerto Rico, all over Europe, and Thailand. I've loved each place I stayed at, the hosts were super friendly and I've had the opportunity to meet amazing people through the CS experience! We finally created an account for our one-year trip this time!

I also had the gift to travel and couchsurf in Central America, which was superb as well!

Interests

I love love love and love reading, I could be a total bookworm when I stay in my zone. Here's the catch, I absolutely LOVE going on adventures, seeing the world, and learning more about cultures. Therefore my hobby is not only limited to: snowboarding, playing sports, hanging out with friends, meeting new faces, making lifelong friends, and to exchange stories and knowledge.

I love plenty kinds of books and movies. I just don't have a favorite.

For music... Anything EDM would win my head over :)

The Afterlife of Billy Fingers by Anna Kagen is one amazing book, read it if you haven't!

What I Can Share with Hosts

We're more than happy to exchange stories and experiences with you, teaching our native language (ASL), and we'd love to cook our meals together!
