About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations...

ABOUT ME

After having been an assistant professor at the ENSAPLV (Architecture school of Paris La Villette), I have taught Urbanism and Landscape theory at the ESAC (Ecole superieure d'architecture de Casablanca), amongst other activities.
But right now, I have returned to my beloved city of Paris, working both on small and large scale projects.

PHILOSOPHY

Behind a question always lies another question.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have already hosted and been hosted several times, and been rather active within the CS community (that includes regular events) so I think I have a fairly good notion of what the CS project is.

Interests

Architecture, Urbanism, Landscape architecture, Botanics, Green politics, Modern Epistemology; anything related to Academia.

Do you know the game called "Diplomacy", by the way?

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Monteverdi, Bach, Haendel, Mozart, Debussy, Prokofiev, Royksopp

Books: Musil, Kafka, T.S. Eliot, Villon, Spinoza

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've survived a mob armed with guns and rifles in South Africa.

I've cycled all across Northern Europe (from Ireland to North Cape, and then to Russia) with my faithful bike.

According to my father, when Jean-Paul Sartre met me as a little child, he already said I was "talking like a book".

A few years later, Samuel Beckett said the same about me. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I already teach, yet learning is an infinite process.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Botswana, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lesotho, Luxembourg, Mexico, Monaco, Namibia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Vatican City State, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In
