About Me

I am an outdoor-enthusiast, California Bay Area native, French & kiwi raised, rugby player at heart, UC Berkeley alumni, food and beer-lover, travel seeking adventurer, professional air guitar player, and amateur cool kid.

I am an outgoing introvert, goofy, adventurous, inclusive, communicative, and courteous. I very much enjoy getting to know different people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love getting to know new people and sharing stories. You meet the most interesting people when you travel!

Interests

Anything in the outdoors: hiking, camping, backpacking, rafting, swimming, biking, etc.

Exercising (recently trying to get back into running), traveling, watching rugby (I played for 4 years), reading, knitting, watching TV sitcoms, drawing, cooking, discovering new foods, drinking good beer, learning to play the guitar, really hot drinks (esp. Coffee), yoghurt.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: not picky, i enjoy most types of music. I usually end up listening to whatever the person I'm nearby is listening to. It helps me find new music.

Movies: comedies, dramas, sad romantic movies. V for Vendetta, Pride & Prejudice, anything with Tina Fey or Amy Poehler, LOTR. I always forget which are my favorite and tend to enjoy most movies if they're watched with friends or family.

Books: memoirs, nonfiction, Harry Potter series, Kite Runner, The Great Gatsby. I tend to get into phases of reading a lot and then not so much. I'm currently trying to read more in Spanish.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Spent 4 months living in a tent in Yosemite National Park working on chipmunk research
-Backpacked in the Torres del Paine in Chilean Patagonia
-Played rugby
-Ran a half marathon (I'm not a very good runner)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can break apples in half with my bare hands. I'll teach you the trick!

"When nothing goes right... go left"
"We have to remember what's important in life: friends, waffles, and work. Or waffles, friends, work. But work has to come third." - Leslie Knope
