Overview
About Me
Native New Yorker with strong Greek and Italian roots that I bring with me wherever I go. Interest in really making things better, especially for working-class people in New York City and around the US. Love to cook, organize, sing, going to see live music, and try new things in safe environments (never actually works out that way).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
New-ish to Couchsurfing but so so eager to see all that the world has to offer. I work in public policy but am taking the summer off to travel. I'm a native New Yorker with an unending passion for her city and the incredible people that live there. When I travel and see new cities, I'm able to bring creative solutions back to my own NYC community: our use of public spaces, the way we treat our food, our neighbors, our natural resources, how we eat, how we celebrate- every time I travel, I'm inspired by the resilience of the people I meet.
Going on a road trip with my partner August 2017 and both want to stay within budget and meet people along the East Coast.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite music? Anything live or with a compelling rhythm and lyrics. These days I'm always listening to reggaeton from Colombia, Chronixx, Tame Impala, traditional Greek folk music, Rihanna (always), and some folk from the 60s. Music mood changes hour by hour and I'll always go out of my way to listen to live music wherever I go!
Movies? Amelie, O Brother Where Art Thou, The Life Aquatic, Royal Tenenbaums, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Ocean's Eleven (Twelve, and Thirteen), Big Fish, and so many others.
Books? One Hundred Years of Solitude, Between the World and Me, The Lifechanging Magic of Tidying Up, Kafka on the Shore, anything by Jonathon Safran Foer and Junot Diaz, and The Death and Life of Great American Cities.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Finished a wild and intensive fellowship in public affairs this past year. Spending the summer recuperating!
