I am Portuguese and I came to Rotterdam in 2013 for my master in Molecular Medicine. I love this country so much that I decided to stay at least four more years for my PhD :D :D :D
I'm a happy active never satisfied girl that loves life and new experiences. I'm a dreamer and a fighter, an explosive combination!
Simple yet unique, crazy yet responsible, sporty yet party lover... quite a balance I think :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: sooo difficult! I like so many different things... last concerts I went were Foals, Animal Collective, Daugther and Alt-J. Next in the list are Crystal Fighters, Tame Impala, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Fatboy Slim. Also love Tycho, Caribou, Radiohead, Aphex Twin, Disclosure, Flume, Air, Jose Gonzalez, The Smiths, ... But when it comes to party I love Drum n Bass (Smooth, Black Sun Empire, Doctrine etc etc etc) and some nice Techno (Max Cooper!).

Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Fight Club are amazing! Loved Inside Out and The Grand Budapest Hotel :D

Books: read many but I specially liked Lord of the Flies and Battle Royale

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I finished High School, instead of going for one week to a beach resort in Spain like all my colleagues, I did an Interrail in Europe. Went from Figueira da Foz, my hometown, to Istanbul. Passed by Paris, Munchen, Ljubjana, Venice, Milan, Rome, Bari, Patras, Athens, Thessaloniki, Sofia :D :D :D It was AMAZING!!!

Moving to the Netherlands. Never felt so alone (not lonely ahah), free and citizen of the world like now. And it is AMAZING!!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to talk. A lot. But I'm also a good listener ;) you can expect deep life questions from me and some silly jokes when I am in my silly mood :p)

One of my perfect moments in life is to sit, listen to nice music and enjoy a cold beer or a tasty Porto wine. Cooking is one of my passions. Started when I was really young, learned by myself (my mom hates to cook) and watched many cooking shows and documentaries. Portuguese food is, of course, my speciality but I like to try everything and can cook Italian, Asian and some South American dishes. To receive friends at home with a table full of food makes me a happy woman :)
