In my 20's I worked as a stand-up comic whose day job was proof reading police interviews. In my 30's and 40's I was a Mum and for the past 24 years I've worked as a teacher of ancient wisdom traditions. When I became an empty nester I moved to Bali for 2 years and now go where I feel intuitively guided to serve and connect with those equally committed to positive social change.

I fill my cup drinking in the natural beauty of our Mother and I delight in a shared table with others who show their devotion to the sensual realm through cooking. I experience communion with existence through ecstatic practices including kirtan chanting, shamanic dance and breathwork.

I have 5 books currently published. The latest title, Goddess Wisdom was published with Hay House. People know me as The Moon Woman for the daily blog I share that helps people live in tune with the lunar cycle. It has half a million followers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to connect with the local community to really commune with the Spirit of place...rather than in a sterile and expensive, mainstream tourist targeted accommodation. I'm delighted to discover this option to meet those whose ethos aligns.

Laugh out loud comedies like Anchorman (the jazz flute scene), 40 Year Old Virgin (the waxing scene) that have heart and provide a positive social commentary that have great comedic writers and a great premise
I enjoy a great heist film like the original and remake of 'The Thomas Crown Affair'
I enjoy docos that raise consciousness and educate like '13th' and 'Zeitgeist'

BOOKS
My fave books are novels that combine my love of food and mysticism, such as 'Chocolat', 'Rosewater and Sodabread' and 'Aphrodite'
I also enjoy reading channelled books such as 'Mists of Avalon' and 'The Firebrand' by Marion Zimmer Bradley, 'The Red Tent' by Anita Diamant and 'The Moon Under Her Feet' by Clysta Kinstler

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Intuitively received a date we'd receive a crop circle for a Venus conjunction in England which came to pass and we did ceremony in the crop circle. Also on the same trip, leading a private ceremony at dawn at Stone Henge.
