About Me
Hi there!
I've registered myself on Couchsurfing many years ago when I traveled to India. Back then I never dared to get in touch or stay over at the house of someone whom I didn't know. Life is guiding me in new directions and so I'd like to give this a new try and expand my horizons and my circles...
I'm as much an introvert person as I am an extrovert one, so this still feels "een beetje spannend" as the Dutch would say - a little exciting. So... Let's get out of that comfort zone!
Originally coming from Germany I've been living in the Netherlands for +3 years and for a bit more than 8 months I'm living a nomad lifestyle (so due to this I cannot host anyone at the moment, I'm sorry). I'm diving into the unknown and visit loads of beautiful places - and leave more and more of these things behind that we often perceive as "securities". I'm often taking care of houses and pets when people are on holiday and I contribute as a volunteer in different projects and organizations. I'm part of the team of a Dutch organization in the fields of personal development and just love to be part of this.
I love good talks, making music, expanding my horizons, and my consciousness. And hey - I'm really longing to play a good game again!
I want to really get to know people - what are your experiences, your struggles, your dreams, what makes you happy? What makes you YOU?
With a bit of luck I'll have my ukulele with me and maybe you like to make some music or sing? (I have to warn you, I'm just learning to play the ukulele but it's just so much fun :-) ).
Apart from that I'd say I'm a low maintenance guest - I totally respect you're having your own life and I easily can spend time on my own. I don't get bored very easily. But if you feel like socializing, I enjoy a good talk! And if you don't - never mind! :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's an exciting way to get to see new places, get to know new people, expand my horizons and my circles. And it's beautiful when people can exchange whatever they know or have experienced on their own journey called "life". :-)

Music, Movies, and Books
It's been a long while since I read books just for pure pleasure. Mostly my reads have something to do with an interest or personal growth. Right now I'm reading "dare to lead" by Brené Brown which was a spontaneous buy at the central station in Utrecht. I love to stroll around book stores...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It was just these days that I realized that I'm doing a darn good job in following where my heart leads me, even though I have no idea where I will end up and even though it's raising a whole lot of fears sometimes. Moving to the Netherlands, becoming part of a Dutch organization's team where I help others to get in touch again with their essence... Basically I've left behind my whole old life, creating a new one of which I don't know yet where it will lead me. As far as I can see now, this seems to be exactly the point of it. ;-)
