About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of the world as possible, experience foreign cultures, meet interesting people and make the best out of every day!

ABOUT ME

Hm, I think it´s hard to tell somebody all about you just in a couple of sentences but I´ll try! If you want to know more, don´t hesitate to ask :)

I would say I am an easygoing and outgoing person who likes to meet new people and learn about their culture.

I like a good conversation and, even more, a good laugh!

I always try to handle life with a good sense of humor and stay openminded and spontanious.

I am reliable and mostly straight out because I believe it saves you a lot of time and trouble to just be honest with people and say what´s on your mind.

I think it´s important to show respect and tolerance towards other people and their culture and I do my best trying to live up to that, especially when travelling.

PHILOSOPHY

If somebody tells you that you can´t, turn around and say: "Watch me!"

I believe that everyone is the master of his own happiness in life and that you can therefore make whatever you like out of it and achieve whatever you wish for. You simply have to get up and start taking care of it. Life happens today, so live today!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now, I can only participate as a surfer because my current living situation doesn´t allow me to host at the moment, but that will change at the end of the year and then I hope to welcome many of you in my home in the beautiful city of Bamberg, Bavaria in Germany!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a Couchsurfing freshman, so I don´t have any experience yet... but working on it, that´s what I´m here for! ;)

Interests

I like travelling (obviously!) and making new experiences, seeing new things, meeting new people and basically anything outdoors and fun: hiking, biking, skiing, camping, having BBQs and so on.

I also like to cook and enjoy good food, trying out the tastes of different countries´kitchens and a glass of sweet wine every once in a while. Since I´m Bavarian, of course I can handle a couple of beers, too ;) Preferiably, I like to do either of it on different festivals (we have a lot of these in Germany!) or cook-outs and BBQs with friends and family.

But sometimes, I also like to just hang out, relax and take it a little bit easy, preferiably at some nice spot in the countryside or the city, have a fun time with friends and just enjoy life! I was brought up on the countryside, so I care about nature, love animals and like to hang out in the outdoors!

I also enjoy art a lot, in any of it´s forms, the more creative, the better!

All together, you could say I´m basically interested in anything that´s fun, that matters or that´s possibly making a change in the world. And in people who are taking part in that :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Every kind of music, that gets me in a good mood, is good music to me! Right now, I especially enjoy anything with Latin American rythyms a lot!

I like movies and books that keep me excited and have a good plot, not really depending on the genre, more on weather they deliver a good message or some interesting thoughts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far, my trips to New York City were the most amazing experiences I have ever made because I have simply never seen so much diversity and new things to experience in one place, it almost overwhelms you!

Also: trying to ride on a camel in Egypt... it´s not as easy as it looks like! Especially not with a 8-year-old Egyptian, spanking the camel so it starts running because he thinks it´s hilarious to make the European woman on its`back scream in fear like a little girl!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always curious about different people´s experiences and cultures because I believe the best way to develop and widen your horizon is through cultural exchange.

Also, I am always looking out to improve my language skills, especially my Spanish because it got very rusty within the years and now I think there are only the basics left :)

In exchange, I can offer sharing my own personal and professional experience, so just talk to me about whatever you would like to know :)
