Since 2015 we travel and host as a couple with Simon who is new at CS https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/simonmakarov.

Simon works at a fish trade company and knows quite a lot of peculiar details about fish and sea products secret life ;)
He is into climbing and bouldering.
We both practise ashtanga vinyasa yoga (that's legal stuff)) and love chinese tea and tea ceremony.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been hosted a few times and met some couchsurfers in my hometown of Moscow. I started CS quite long time ago when I was a student and it definitely affected my worldview I can say.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Russian classical literature: L. Tolstoy, A. Chechov, I. Tyrgenev, N. Gogol and so on... silver century poetry, Nabokov, Scholochov, Markes, Selinger, W. S. Maugham, J.K. Jerome, M. Twain, psychologists: Fromm, Yalom, Frankl, Horney, Beck, Barlow.

Since we started preparing for our trip to Iran we found interesting some Iranian movies mostly by M. Mokhmalbaf (such as a classical A Moment of Innosence) and Persepolis.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Silence in Himalayas, parachute jumps, kissing a seal, hitchhiking in Russia is also always an amazing experience.

I can teach english, china tea ceremony, provide with different kinds of useless information and skills like how to make DIY tepee or furoshiki.
