I am Couchsurfing because I like the whole idea of people lending out their homes to various participants. At times we all want to go somewhere for different reasons, but we cannot because certain places are too expensive. Couchsurfing is a resource that allows people to accommodate themselves easily. Not to mention its a great way to meet people and to get to know the area.

I did the Ciudad Perdida trek in Colombia this past summer. It is a four day trek through the jungle to reach a lost city where indigenous villages used to live, and few still live. One of the hardest yet most rewarding hikes I have ever done.
