CURRENT MISSION

Just finished my dream of traveling around the world by seeing 51 countries in 900 days. Currently writing a book about the experience, starting a fashion brand with bow ties and neck ties being made in Vietnam, making a home out of Des Moines, and dreaming up new dreams.

ABOUT ME

About me... So difficult to say. Seriously, I've been sitting here for 10 minutes.. I guess you could say I sometimes overanalyze things. I don't fit into a category. I'm into a lot of different things. Except for smalltalk. I hate smalltalk. I think I'm a good person. I've never met anyone more openminded. My friends range from deadbeat heroin addicts to conservative Christians. I like people and I like the variety in life. The last thing in the world I look for is comfort and contentment.

New experiences are a big reason of why I travel. I'm a big believer that life is about the experiences you have and the relationships you make. I worry a lot about the future but never for what's in front of me, I feel at home in difficult situations.

If you ask me if I'm up for something the answer is almost always yes. I like to have fun. I'm struggling to become a writer. I have no idea what's ahead for me but I do know one thing; it will be interesting.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just surfed the world! Couldn't imagine traveling without it. Now I hope to give back to this amazing community by hosting and being active in the local scene.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After University I bought a motorcycle and spent nearly a year surfing and camping around the U.S. The people I met and experiences I had completely changed my life. Two years later I set off to do the same around the world. I have just returned from that epic journey.

After college I spent a year camping and surfing around the U.S. on a $9 a day budget. The people I met along the way have changed my life forever.

I can teach you how to tell a great story and travel on a budget. Politics and writing are also a strong suit of mine. And if you have any interest in American Football, basketball or baseball I could definitely help.

I would like to learn more about computers, entrepreneurship, dancing, and film. And I could use someone to practice my spanish with.
