About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Headed to Mexico City from May 23rd-June 2nd with my boyfriend!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Love traveling - obviously; I'll go anywhere at least once. The big tourist sites are great, but I care mostly about spending time with the local populace when I travel, and forming a genuine relationship with the region I'm exploring.

I'm an anthropologist, so the more cultural exchange I get to experience somewhere, the happier I am.

Music - Panic! At The Disco, fun., Fall Out Boy, Florence + the Machine, Bastille, MS MR, Marina & the Diamonds

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched the sunrise on the Mediterranean while fishing with local Gozitans, traveled to the highest peak, Säntis, in the Appenzell Alps, rode a railway to the top of the Eigergletscher, in the Bernese Alps and swam in a bioluminescent bay in Puerto Rico.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm looking to begin grad school in the upcoming year, and specialize in Cultural Resources Management and current issues concerning Cultural Heritage. I've already conducted original research on these fields in Malta, but am looking to continue my examinations of the field wherever I travel.

Currently I teach an archaeological field school and related classes at a university, and have worked on a variety of different excavations over the past few years.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good conversation of course! I like to share what I do for my career with people, and about my own hometown and the other traveling I've done.

Additionally, I've worked for 7 years as a bartender, so if you want some quality mixed drinks, I'm your guy. And I love to cook - not going to claim I'm a great chef, but I adore making and sharing a meal with good company.

Also; I savor spontaneity, so I'm pretty much down to try anything once!
