ABOUT ME

Outdoorsman. I like getting caught in storms. Smelling books.
I like to imagine myself walking on a plank; in the center you find balance but drift too much one way and you risk falling. In life, you meet many people who guide you and teach you. From them, from their experiences, you learn not to fall and sometimes how to do handstands.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to think of this whole experience as 'paying it forward' where a group of people with common interests, not just pertaining to traveling, can come together and participate in something greater than... the experience of not? I surf, I host and then I do it all over again!
Things I consider when surfing:
-indeed the idea of going out and seeing all there is to see in a new place is incredible but the most fulfilling and most memorable things are those shared with people. In addition, making friends along the way, around the world, makes you feel more at home with the world.
- people who host are not part of a hotel service and I send requests based on my perception that I think we would have a good time together by sharing our stories.
- I am very thankful to those who open their homes and their hearts to me. I never forget a good deed and will do anything I can to pay it back and/or pay it forward.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have friends so close that I call family whom I have met through couchsurfing.

I am finding myself in the middle of a life crises where I can no longer travel like I want to due to that pinging voice in my head telling me I have to work. I have a lot of experiences that I like to reminisce about and am eager to learn of others so that I may be inspired to get my boots back on.
