After graduating from an engineering college, I recently co-founded a startup called Planys in June 2015. We build underwater robots.

I was bitten by the "bug of backpacking" 3 years back and I have been traveling since then. Recently, I solo backpacked across Japan and Vietnam and indulged in some daring delicacies. In the past, I have visited multiple countries and enjoy experiencing new cultures/cuisines/lifestyles. This year, I intend to go backpack 3 weeks across Peru and Bolivia in December-January.

I am also an endurance runner and recently turned triathlete. I also collect currencies of various countries (currently, have for over 70 countries), enjoy photography and discussing/watching/arguing about Cricket

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to interact and connect with various new people during my backpacking trips and also open in hosting travelers in my city. I usually prefer homestays during my trips and love to make friends and know more about their cultures/cuisines etc.

Had my first Couchsurfing experience during my japan trip and just loved it. Though i cannot host people (as I stay with some flatmates), I would be delighted to meet other couch surfers traveling to Chennai (and show you around).

Interests

Love talking about fitness and healthy food habits. It's been 2 years since I got into endurance running and doing triathlons and it has been one of the best decisions of my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went on a 10-day solo (one of my first) backpacking trips across Japan. It was a great trip with some terrific experiences. Met some wonderful people and learnt a lot about Japan. Tried some daring food as well :)
