About Me

It is hard for me to actually write about me :) I am a 19yo girl who lives in a boarding school just outside of İstanbul. Currently, I am in my second year of IB and it gets me away from having a life :/ I believe that I am a very positive and energetic person who loves talking and unfortunately, sometimes even too much. To have fun is my primary goal in life. At the end life is too short to worry. I am a very open-minded enjoys trying new stuff. I love hanging around with friends since I am at a boarding school I have so many opportunities for this. Travelling and getting to know new cultures is what I live for. I am a participant of the European Youth Parliament which helps me to travel a lot in Europe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking for learning new cultures along with new perspectives and not only for touristic visits to popular areas when I travel. It is interesting getting to know people from different background. I believe that Couchsurfing has its own soul surrounding people, it is the joy, excitement and beautiful conversations with beautiful people that I seek on Couchsurfing. I had a few friend who were using this and those same friends also convinced me into this which I am grateful now :) Thus, in really really short, I would like to meet with local people while I am traveling and I hope to become friends. This is why I am on Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Whenever this question opens up I get speechless. I personally find it fairly difficult to choose among amazing talents on every genre and style. My favorite genre is generally science fiction but I also like to read political books and economics as long as I understand :) If I need to specify, "Hard To Be A God" and "Blind Owl" did really effect me. When it comes to music, I actually don't have an answer. Whatever sounds good, I listen. I like Pop music like any other teenager, Rock (which I worship Dire Straits) however is my savior on multiple occasions. I don't know why but those crazy guitar solos and familiar lyrics are to die for. But I love listening any kind of music as long as I can hear the beautiful instruments behind. And, finally Movies. Before starting, I have a confession to make. Until 2 days ago I haven't seen any Star Wars movie. (Don't judge me just yet) But since the episode VIII is on the run, I felt an obligation to watch it. In 2 days I've finished all seven episodes and rouge one. And now, I cannot stop myself but to read and learn more and more about it :D This being said, I usually get bored while sitting in front of the same movie for 2 hours (yeah I know nonesense) thus it is hard for me to watch movies. This is why I accept the fact that I have a lot to learn and it would be unfair to choose the best.
