HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can meet up with people in melbourne but can't have them stay (housemates...). I would like to couchsurf when I go travelling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had none, I am a newbie. I set this account up when I travelled in 07/08 for 3 mth, but didnt use it.

Intereses

Hiking, rogaining, running (sometimes...), I brew beer with a friend - we're not massive drinkers, its just a hobby. I like traveling but I havent done much really.
Tassie has been my fave hiking spot, but lara pinta trail (NT) is up there too.

movies...There are too many to list!
music.. ditto. snow patrol, the killers, creed, dido, mika, pete murray, etc. love pipe bands.
books... so many. my fave is 'the beach'.

Try running down a really steep hill/mountain at full speed, its pretty blood fun.
I swam in loch ness... in winter.
The Australian outback was pretty spectacular (not uluru, but the outback in general - lara pinta trail)

here's the start of my teaching:
* SleepingInAirports.com is a very usefull site. I am surprised how many people havent heard of it.
* If you ever need travel advice, the thorntree forum is really usefull. Tons of people with great advice. read the FAQ first tho.

I dont know that I have any other particular skills. I'm pretty handy with a wisperlite/simmerlite, and have knowledge of various hiking related things. I can navigate (compas, map, etc). I can teach you some really basic scottish dancing. I'm pretty good with Excel.
