About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently I'm in "re-positioning" mode. I left my job and am planning my next stage in life...a year of travels around the world.

ABOUT ME

I'm adventurous, outgoing, passionate, and love to learn.

PHILOSOPHY

What's the question?? Travel is always the answer!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm looking to lend a place to stay when I'm in town and also meet people while I'm traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have traveled cross country twice and basically couchsurfed at family and friends'. It was a great experience. The wackiest/most memorable experience was in Spain and my couchsurfing host served me rabbit with the fur still on it. Whoa Nelly!

Interests

I love to travel, read, crochet, watch soccer/futbol (go BARCA!), go to soccer games, travel, bike ride, swim, meet new people, travel, cook, tango, learn new things, go on adventures, study maps, and um...travel!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love foreign films, sports movies, documentaries, comedies, and action/adventure. I'm an avid reader, mainly non-fiction and anything by Harlan Coben. As a former teacher, I LOVE children's books, too. :) When I'm not listening to Lenny Kravitz or my Portuguese language CD's, NPR is always on my radio.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Puerto Rico I did the most amazing kayak tour to the bioluminescence bay and was blown away by the "diamonds" in the water.

Foz do Iguaçu/Puerto Iguazú was the most incredible place I have ever been. I dream of going back to this place. It is so beautiful, there truly aren't any words to describe it. Don't walk, run/hike/fly/do whatever you can to get to Iguazu!! And you must experience both sides!

Teach, Learn, Share

If English is your 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. language then I can help with any English lessons.

I love to meet new people and learn from them.

I love to share cooking recipes, especially ones that I can cook for Couchsurfing hosts and guests!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My travel stories, adventure, fun, recipes, cooking experiences, great conversation, love of meeting new people.
