Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To start traveling for real while I'm still in the spring of my life!
ABOUT ME
Just a few words, for I don't believe a lengthy description would be appropriate: the impression you get when we briefly meet might be very different from what I think I am!
I think I am:
open-minded
passionate and curious
ambitious
helpful
may sometimes seem cold at first glance... but it's a first glance!
PHILOSOPHY
I don't have any philosophy. I just live my life. Oh wait, that's already a philosophy...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to host people in most of the student accommodation I've been through up till now.I've just co-hosted someone twice...However, I love the concept and hope to get more couchsurfing experience in the near future!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Co-hosted twice
Was hosted once in Brazil, it was a great experience!

Music, Movies, and Books
I adore music, listening as well as playing: I learnt the violin and have been teaching myself the piano for many years, and the (electric) guitar for a few years. I also own a few exotic instruments... I'm dreaming of owning a banjo, a Portuguese guitar and an acoustic guitar!Music I like includes: Chopin, The Doors, Muse, Led Zeppelin, Janáček, Regina Spektor, The Strokes, Rahmáninov, Wim Mertens.I also listen to some French music mainly for its great lyrics (e.g. Georges Brassens)I don't listen much to the radio, and I hate 50% of the music most of them broadcast because I think it has no artistic value.I don't read that much (unfortunately) but here are a few books/authors I enjoy: J.R.R. Tolkien, Terry Pratchett, Franz Kafka, 1984, Gulliver's travels, Dune.Movies: there is no single director that I know very well and that I'm a big fan of, but I like some films by Alfred Hitchcock, Quentin Tarantino, Bong Joon-Ho, Tim Burton, the Coen Brothers, for instance.I also enjoy a good deal of comedies/parodies: Team America, Planet Terror, Monty Python, La cité de la peur, etc.As for TV series, I don't watch many: South Park and Dexter, mainly.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in Brazil for 6 months as an exchange student, and seeing places of unspeakable beauty: Iguaçu falls and Rio de Janeiro
Teach, Learn, Share
Language and linguistics is one of my passions, so I know a few things about which the average person has absolutely no idea...but about most of it, they probably don't give a damn, I must say :D
So I enjoy talking about languages, I'm always especially eager to learn something new about the languages I know, and to talk about my mother tongue French.
Basically I like to talk about almost any subject, even some that are usually considered uninteresting :)
I'm a student in engineering (more precisely computer engineering) and I have had a passion for science since childhood.
