ABOUT ME

Hey, guys, I am Tao, but you can also call me Eric!

I studied previously at Tongji University in Shanghai, but now I am an exchange student in Groningen, Netherlands. Groningen is a lovely place, lots of interesting people, and 20 minutes you can be out of town to appreciate the great natural view and see the lovely rabbit.

As you can imagine, now I am enjoying a totally different & interesting life here in Europe!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, at this moment, I am not able to provide a couch, because I am stay in the student house here. But when I return to Shanghai(in summer), I definitely could make more contribution to this community, and I believe lots of people would like to search for a couch in Shanghai, since the Expo is going on now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No experience before, but I've heard from my friends, they have successful and wonderful experience of couching, so I want to try it!

Interests

Basketball, soccer(Go go Netherlands for the world cup!), swimming

Traveling, of course, one of the most important reasons why I am here in Europe, I really admire what Europe had achieved in it culture, and I would know lots of new people, to have nice conversation, and to share some thing about chinese culture too

Music, recently i listen to Joe Hisaishi a lot, and I just find how beautiful the classic music is, esp. the piano concerto of Mozart

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My exchange period here is absolutely amazing!

I enjoyed times i spent with friends from all over the world, we share our experiences, view and of course food! Last month, I even cooked a Chinese dinner for 20 people on my own. Haha!

I've traveled to seven countries already during my stay here, and I could not wait for next travel to France and Italy!

Teach, Learn, Share

What I can share: Chinese cuisine, Chinese culture, things about Hakka people..name it...haha

I want to learn to make all kind of desserts, to appreciate classic music, European history, to know people of various background..
