ABOUT ME
I am a poet, an artist, a musician, an activist, a teacher, a programmer, an administrator, a facilitator, an engineer, a writer, a traveler, a journalist, a mystic, a student. I'm a citizen of the world and an adventurer of the human soul. My only regret is that I only get one lifetime to experience this world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Flew to Madrid 10 days after the terrorist attacks of 2004 with a tape recorder and spent 5 days stopping random people on the streets and interviewing them in Spanish about their experiences on that day, how it affected the way they voted, and if they knew anyone who'd been hurt in the attacks.
It was an unbelievably intense experience. I met a lot of wonderful people but the tensions and emotions were so high I barely slept while I was there. In the end I had about 3 1/2 hours of tape of 71 interviews. Some people knew only tertiarily of the attacks while others knew people who'd been buried in Atocha for three days. One man actually grabbed me once he'd pegged me as an American and I thought was going to assault me. It turned how he just wanted to complain to me about Bush.
