About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet new people, learn and couchsurf in Europe

ABOUT ME

I love new experiences and travelling.

I have lived in Granada, Spain for a year and then moved back to Spain to teach English in Madrid. I love everything Spanish.
I am now working in Sydney but will be heading to South America in a couple of months.

I am easygoing, open-minded and enjoy learning new things especially about different cultures and different ways of life.

PHILOSOPHY

I would rather do things than have things and live by the philosophy that you can do whatever you want in life as it's up to you to make it happen!

I also believe that you shouldn't underestimate the value of proper life experience and that in general you make your own good luck.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was in Budapest and it was one of the best travelling experiences I have ever had. Straight after that I couchsurfed in Paris and I'm looking forward to doing it again soon. I think there is no substitute for really getting to know a place than staying with locals.

Interests

Live music, traveling, reading, writing, dancing, talking, going out for coffee, chilling over a drink, eating when slightly intoxicated, playing sport/gym etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all types of music but generally listen to house, electro and indie. My all-time favourite bands are the Arctic Monkeys and Bloc Party. I go to music festivals as often as I can...

Books? I have just started to get into reading again. I am currently reading "Veronika decides to die" by Paulo Coelho in Spanish (my first novel in Spanish) and enjoying it a lot.

I don't really have a favourite movie. The last one I watched was Blue Valentine, it got kudos for one making me cry and two for starring Ryan Gosling.

I don't watch much TV either but I have just watched all of Game of Thrones in the past month or so and love it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to 24 countries now and loved every minute. Some of the highlights would have to be:
- Glastonbury Festival in the UK
- Hogmany in Edinburgh
- Oktoberfest
- La Tomatina and Running of the Bulls (was too afraid to run though!)
- Staying in a rural village in Indonesia

Teach, Learn, Share

After living in Spain and studying Spanish for four years now I can say that my Spanish is getting quite good... I would be happy to help people learn it.

I can also help with learning English.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Monaco, Netherlands, New Caledonia, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Vanuatu, Vatican City State
