Overview
About Me
I'm a typical artist/mom/nature lover/adventurer-when-I-can. I have a ceramic studio at home, enjoy passing artists/friends and anyone who wants to get their hands in clay. I also love to design/build/install artistic elements in homes/businesses. Kind of a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to creating and repurposing, my home is an ongoing art project. I love making friends, and looking forward to more traveling with unique experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love hosting when I can, it's been so rewarding to have travelers passing through. Couch surfing has opened up opportunities to travel more, meet interesting people, learn and experience new cultures and ideas. (hopefully find hosts who live off grid so I can experience what I desire to create for my family some day)
Generally I've kept an (almost) open door policy with letting people crash at my place as they pass through...couch surfing has been a way to have more of an expanding, shared exchange with that groove.
I believe every soul we connect with, if we open and share a bit of ourselves, helps everyone grow and expand in one way or another. I have not experienced a global life vibe of such interconnectedness through any other means, and can't imagine exploring this world without this kind of exchange.
Interests
So many interests! anything creative, being outdoors, hanging out with my kids, and exploring new places (I have horrible sense of direction and pretty much get lost going anywhere...kinda fun, sometimes) wandering alone, or with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
totally eclectic across the board, I'd have to sit for a while and think of a good list...lets just say it would probably hit almost every genre. Live is always best, even if it's just someone playing around on a guitar or drum.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
took all 3 of my kids to Burning Man, by myself, on a 2 week notice, with only one Burn under my belt. I think that actually falls more into the insane category, but it ended up being the most amazing week.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I enjoy cooking for others, happy to clean (I usually go into "mom-mode" when I'm a guest and absolutely hate for anyone to pick up after me), paint walls/furniture/art/anything, love helping with home building/artistic projects, and I usually bring artsy things or pottery wherever I go. Good/weird conversation (at least I hope). I get along well with others, pretty open-minded and love the authentic unusual.
