I am a graduate student, currently finishing up the final year of my PhD in Canada. As I am finishing up writing my thesis, I wanted to travel the world and explore while I still have the flexibility of a student. I enjoy learning from my host about their experiences and hidden gems in their town.

I enjoy sports and being active. I grew up playing hockey and soccer, but also participated in a wide variety of sports (field hockey, track, wrestling, swim). Over the last few years I have been into rock climbing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu! I like trying new things and trying things I did not think I could ever do. I love to explore the world and see new things!

My sister, a world traveler, highly recommended using Couchsurfing. I want to learn and explore everywhere I go, and what better way to do so than by meeting the locals!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music is pretty much anything from the 70's or 80's, as well I am a huge classical music nerd. I play piano, and was in a jazz band with my dad for awhile, where we both played trombone!
My favorite movies are probably Disney's Fantasia and Jaws
I am not a huge reader at the moment (yet), but I am currently enjoying books that are neuroscience related

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share great stories, jokes, and conversation with my hosts. I always bring a fun, positive attitude wherever I go. I am also a decent cook and can help with meals.
