About Me
I'm a writer at heart and an editor by trade.
At first I can be a bit quiet, but don't be deceived by the initial bout of introversion. Once I warm up, I'm a pretty open person and will swap my life story for yours.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling to a new place is awesome, but nothing makes it more fun than meeting interesting people along the way!
I love hosting and overloading people with information about New York. On my mom's side, my Irish great grandparents immigrated through Ellis Island. Recently, I discovered my paternal ancestors were some of the first Dutch settlers to arrive here in the early 1600s. My roots and love for this city go deep!
Like any New Yorker worth their salt, I know where the best pizza is. Just ask! (But let's be honest, I'll tell you even if you don't.)
TO SURFERS: I've recently returned to NY after a long trip abroad. I need some time to adjust to being home again. Until then, I will not be hosting. I'll update when I'm ready to host again. :)
Interests
Writing, reading, wine, and speaking new languages badly. I am a proud cat lady and an animal lover in general.
Give me a bone-dry Reisling and I'll talk your ear off about Margaret Atwood. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed a 20 foot rock wall while blind folded at Camp Bloomfield for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Great conversation about literature and, of course, the wine I'm bound to bring with me! :)
This March (2016) will be my first time surfing. I'm a tad nervous, but am really looking forward to the experience. I love exploring new places and getting to know new people.
