About Me
Hey there! My name is Tara, I'm a canadian - american currently studying in Vancouver, but I've moved around 7 times to various locations (Newfoundland, Houston, Calgary, Barcelona, etc). I like to play in the mountains and learn new fun facts, so if you've got any, give me a holler!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The beauty of couchsurfing is the ability to fully immerse oneself in the culture of a location, and that's not something you can do by staying in a hostel with 30 other tourists! I like to see places from the perspective of the local, whether it's going to your favorite dive bar or hiking/climbing a less popular mountain.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am one to watch little to no TV because I'd rather live my life outside of a screen, but in the car you'll hear me listening to anything from punk rock to the Backstreet Boys to Shania Twain (man I feel like a woman is my childhood anthem).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Managed to drive from Houston, Texas all the way to Vancouver, BC (38 hour journey) by myself in 4 days. Definitely recommend a solo roadtrip if you wanna ~find yourself~
Teach, Learn, Share
Amp up your oatmeal with some nut butter (preferably almond with coconut) with a banana (mixed and warmed up with the oatmeal), cinnamon, and allspice. It's like eating cake!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a good singalong, a few nerdy jokes, and I promise to laugh at all the jokes (but only if you laugh at mine)
