Hi! My name is Tara-Elizabeth Downs. I am 22 years old and I live and teach English at a Primary school in Barcelona. I am originally from Jamaica, but I have been teaching and traveling since I graduated University in 2017. I love people, I love languages, I love culture and i'm very open minded and eager to learn about yours. I am always open for great conversations and experiences that challenge and excite me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because I have had so many friends recommend it to me and I would also love to have those great travel stories where we meet on couch surfing and become life long friends, ahahaha.
I think also working with children everyday has added a new extroverted level to my personality and i'm so much more curious and open minded and just all in for whatever adventure might be ahead.

I love anything that has soul and that moves me. Always in for music with raspy, wailing sounds that either remind me of a rainy day or make me want to dance in front of my mirror. And Poetry, give me all the (soft, mindblowingly good) poetry books to read :)
