Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There is a difference between meeting people who offer a place to stay and you give them money in exchange for it and meeting people who do the same, but don't take money, because the motive is not a monetary. The motivation is getting involved with characters from all over the world, listening to stories, sharing adventures and maybe even learning a couple of things. This kind of exchange has a great value to me. And that's what I really like about the concept of couch-surfing. You can travel even though you are not a traveler, by hosting people who bring different stories to you and as soon as you are on the road you can be that kind of person again who delivers stories...
