ABOUT ME
I live my life actively. I like to wake up early so that in the evening I am tired because I have done a lot of things. Nightlife is not for me, I am a day person.
I like to travel. I like to converse. I want to discover another worlds)
I like to improve myself. All aspects of me : the body - by doing sports (for example, yoga, fitness, workout, swimming, dancing ...), the brain - by learning and teaching and the mind - by meditating.
I am vegetarian. Since I am a bad cook, I enjoy when somebody cooks for me ;)
If you want to stay at my home - please read "My Home" section of the profile.
PHILOSOPHY
We come in this world with nothing and leave it carrying nothing as well. So there is no reason to worry about the stuff.
Life is not a goal, it is a path. Enjoy it. And help others t enjoy it as well.
Don't believe what majority think. Try!
We decide if we are happy or not, not other people or things.
Explore, but not only exploit.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I enjoy hosting and surfing.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started it by a weeks trip to England, because of couchsurfing. Four beautiful mans (from Italy,England,Russia and Australia) hosted me in London and Cambridge. They helped me a lot with all my problems and it was very interesting to speak and have fun with them. After this trip I think that couchsurfing is the best way to travel!)
Then I have hosted many people and it also was very interesting and I had a lot of fun with them)
Next experience - trip to many cities of the western part of Ukraine by hitchhiking. It was an awesome trip!) I met a lot of cool people with a help of couchsurfing, so I am very thankfull to this network)
Summer of 2014 - I spent great 2 weeks traveling by hitchhiking through whole Belarus. The best thing there for me - the beauty of nature and the kindness of people.
Autumn 2014 - living in Aachen with many different couchsurfers.
Spring 2015 - 4 weeks long trip by hitchhiking and couchsurfing. My way was : Aachen -> Amsterdam -> Harlem -> Leiden -> Scheveningen -> Delft -> Rotterdam - > Utrecht -> Breda -> Antwerp -> Ghent -> Brussels -> Leuven -> Eindhoven -> Warsaw -> Gomel -> Brest -> Krakow -> Budapest -> Bratislava -> Vienna -> Prague -> Bamberg -> Aachen. It was just an amazing experience.
Autumn 2015 - One more adventure : awesome trip to the South of France and North of Italy.
And many more trips! That is my only way to travel.
Interests
Meditation, sport, public speaking, chess, teach (I am a
tutor) and learn (I am a student), travel, philosophy, meditation, yoga.
For some of them in details:
Meditation. I started doing meditation on the beginning of the summer 2015, by Vippasana 10 days meditation coarse. Since then I try to meditate every day. At spring 2016 I did Vippasana again. I thing, that it makes my life and life of people around me better.
Sport. I like being in good shape and want to keep my body young as long as possible. I believe that the state of my body depends on how I use it. That's why I do as much sport as I can and try to live a healthy life.
Public speaking. In February 2017 I have joined Toastmasters and this was one of the best things in this year. Here is my Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owetivekFV8
Travel. I love it for many reasons. Main of them are: to feel free (no schedules, no commitments, no worries); to explore new cultures; to show my culture; to get inspiration for further creativity, to challenge and develop myself.
Yoga. I am doing yoga for many years, but not professionally. I am still very bad in that, but I like doing it and try to do it every morning.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like films with an interesting idea, but not just actions or empty comedies. For example, "Forrest Gump" or "Interstate 60 ".
I like to read, and my favorite authors are Jack London, Erich Maria Remarque, Fedor Dostoevskij, Ernest Hemingway and Jerome David Salinger.
The best book I have ever read is an autobiography of Mahatma Gandi "The Story of My Experiments with Truth"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving, bungee-jumping.
I was stuck and almost died in the swamp in the deep north of Belarus. It was the moment, when I understood that you shouldn't travel alone to the wild nature)
4 weeks long trip by hitchhiking and couchsurfing through Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Belorussia, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Germany.
I was listening to Luc Vanlaere in Brugge sitting in the first raw, just in front of him. It was the best musical experience in my life.
Swimming in the North sea in Scheveningen, Netherlands when the weather was +4 C with a strong wind, naked, despite some tourist walking around.
Sleeping in a tent inside of an abandoned, almost ruined caravan 20 meters away from the Mediterranean see.
Vippasana 10 days meditation retreat.
