About Me

Hi there!
My name is Taras and I am a political analyst in Ukraine. I work in the field of European integration. Has been to several European countries, especially I love the Balkans!

I can tell you thousands of stories about Ukraine, about the political situation, work, art (especially about Ukrainian art!)

FOR HOSTS:

I don't have any special preferences where to spend the night, or in what conditions - to make it not terribly cold, because I often travel with a small backpack

There are no preferences for food. In general, I am very reserved and tolerant, I can prepare you to eat, we can not cross at all, only for the night.

It all depends how much you want to communicate with me. I know and love it. But I can be silent like a fish

I rarely visit this platform. If you need to spend the night in Kyiv, please write here:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling with stories, and it's best to meet new people. Well, people who are interested in Ukraine can always spend the night at home!

I started travelling normally recently - in 2017. I tried to accommodate guests, but only in 2019 with a real opportunity. To me, this is new dating. This is the main thing I want from the service. I don't like to travel without adventure, without new acquaintances. I will probably remember my Hungarian priest all my life who took me into the house without knowing me at all. I still feel lucky to meet a Croatian Jew who develops peace strategies in the Middle East.

This is not all about service. But I hope for similar (equally unique) stories here. Meet me - you will not regret. Yes, it is very, very proud and pathetic - but believe me, you will never meet them again. I am a scientist and I will change this world! Want to know how?

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: RHCP, Rammstein, Ukrainian rock and ethnic music

Movies: Russian and Ukrainian soviet films, especially (I`lienko, Haydar)

Books: In fact, I don't really like to read fiction, but I do know about publications, and I can advise many interesting works in philosophy and social sciences. Especially regarding the study of extremism theory (I've been studying radicalization theory for several years)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I yelled at the Minister of Education

Went to Slovenia for election as an observer with 100 bucks in his pocket. He returned with 300 bucks in a week and a half, having travelled half the Balkans.

Staged a fight club scene in reality (people thought I was crazy)
