About Me

I think I must definitely be addicted to travel! Since 2012 I have been travelling the world, first as part of a choral ensemble performing, teaching and giving workshops in many countries. Now I've reinvented myself an English teacher and have worked in Istanbul am now living and working in Essen, Germany. I love having adventures, discovering new things, new places, learning about other cultures and attempting to learn their languages. Though I love to have fun you'll find me a respectful, trustworthy and responsible guest who is happy to do my fair share to contribute to your household.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since joining in 2009 I've had many wonderful couchsurfing experiences both as a host and as a traveller. I've met amazing people who have generously opened their homes to me and shared time with me. It's a great way to travel and truly see the world through the eyes of its inhabitants.

Music, Movies, and Books

European films rather than slick American blockbusters though I never seem to have the time to watch all the films and read all the books I would like. A book that really sticks in my memory is 'Birds without Wings'.
Music: most classical, renaissance choral, baroque, Mahler, interested in new 20th century composers

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Almost single-handedly planted a forest and watched it grow; gave birth to two amazing human beings. (sorry, that's 3 things)!

Teach, Learn, Share

All kinds of people though I don't enjoy noisy, brash people so much.

What I Can Share with Hosts

vegetarian/vegan cooking, music knowledge, English language skills.
