About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Introduce Tabletop Roleplaying Games to the World

ABOUT ME

My name is Kenneth and I am best described as a socially capable nerd. 10 years ago I travel from country to country in search of... well I don't exactly know. Probably the ideal place for me to settle down some day. What I usually did was travel to a country. Stay for half a year. Try to get involved with the society. And then move on to the next country. The things that would make me stay longer would be an exciting job or the love of a woman. I finished roaming about in The US, volunteering at a number of different youth holiday programs. It was such a success that I have was invited back to start up an after school program next term. Alas, the US didn't allow me to do this. The same thing happened to me in New Zealand. So between my visit to Australia and Japan I ended up back in Denmark.

I work with children and youth for a living and specialize in roleplaying games. I love my work and also enjoy playing games with friends in my spartime. Life is good.

A few facts about me:
I don't drink any alcohol and have never ever been drunk.
I have seriously screwed up my sleep patterns.
My laptop is my home. I pretty much live half my life inside of it.
I traveled around with a floor lamp. The lighting in a room makes all the difference to the atmosphere.
I absolutely love my electronic book reader, which contains hundreds of books... it is a traveler's best friend.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything in life is an eternal balance between extremes.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Learning to love oneself is required to love others.

Life is to short to waste on lies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If you have children or youth then I have all the experience and qualifications needed to give a helping hand. I will also always be willing to entertain people with a game of tabletop roleplaying. Also, I carry my own weight when staying with someone. I like inviting my hosts out to dinners and movies. And if I stay for a longer period of time then I will certainly buy my own food and even pay as a regular boarder depending on what we might negotiate. But mainly I just want to meet and be with interesting people. I'm keen on just meeting up even if no couch is involved.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed and met up with a number of people in New Zealand, Australie, Japan and the US. I have loved every minute of it so far. To me, meeting and experiancing life with the locals, or just spending time with people, is much more of an adventure as opposed to seeing the sights or looking at old stuff. Don't get me wrong, I would love to get a guided tour from a local... but I would be even more keen on getting to experiance the locals ordinary life. Perhaps even take part in it if my talents can contribute in some way. Some of my best couchsurfing experiances was those that allowed me to visit/participate in school classes, workplaces, hobbies and visits with friends. To sum it up, I want to learn and experiance the lives of my hosts when I visit. If my hosts have a lots of time to spend with me; Great! But those host who have busy lives to occupy them can be equally facinating to be with if I am allowed to experiance their lives first hand.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once a man in charge of a large roleplaying society told me that it all began with me playing the game with him and his friends, when they were children. The most amazing things I have experianced is seeing the positive difference I have made in other peoples lives down the road.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach and share all of my interest. I'll teach you how to draw or make awesome paper cutouts. I'll listen to your music and share mine in return. I'll catch movies with you or play a friendly game of badminton. I'm particular good at developing the minds of impressionable children, youth and adults in touch with their inner child. It is my vocation as well as my passion to teach and entertain through my roleplaying activities and have done so across the world. Half of all my couchsurfing hosts & meetups took me up on that offer as well. I'll create a roleplaying game with anyone who has the time and curiosity. I have a few videos uploaded to the internet, which shows some of the activites I do. Some in Danish and others in English.

I also made some very easily read and informative leaflets, on the subject of my roleplaying games, which you will find in my picture section.
