I have a lot of interests, but overall I consider myself artistic and athletic! I love music and the piano. I started my college career studying sculpture and art, but then I switched to studying the French language about halfway through! Now I am living in Floyd County, Virginia as a French language teacher and I am very much enjoying it!

I'm very easy going and love to meet new people. If you host me we'll have a good time talking about culture, education, fitness, music, food, travel and other random things. I also like to cook, so if you wanna throw down in the kitchen...let's do it!

Interests

💪 I LOVE to move! Exercise, sports, weight training, running — everything! Let me know if you need any tips about getting into better shape! I'd be glad to help or go on a jog with you somewhere!

🎹 I ❤ the piano! I have been playing for about 15 years now (mostly for fun, I'm no pro!) ... and even if I don't practice as I'd like, music will always have a special place in my heart. I'm a huge fan of Chopin!

🎨 I studied art for a few semesters at the #1 public art university in the United States...go Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)! Thanks to VCU, I was able to travel to Doha, Qatar in 2012 on a scholarship! We have a sister campus there and it was really great to meet the VCU Qatar students.

🍳 I love eating healthy, wholesome food, and I love to cook as well. I've done some keto dieting, and know a lot of great recipes. Depending on the circumstances, I'd be glad to cook for/with you!

I once did a workshop with some of my students on the subject of "entomophagy," or the practice of eating insects! If you have never tried, you should! They are quite crunchy and really good when dipped in chocolate — like most things 🐛

🌎 I love to travel and I love to learn about other cultures and languages. I speak English and French fluently and I am a proficient Spanish speaker, but I'd like to learn Hungarian, Russian, Swedish, and German next. That's a lot, I know!

My love for foreign languages probably started when I began teaching myself Spanish to impress a Mexican girl in my fourth grade class! Cute, ain't it ?

I enjoy all music, particularly old school/ motown! Otis Redding is king!
I play piano and my favorite composer is Chopin, as I mentioned before.
Cidade de Deus is perhaps my favorite film.
