ABOUT ME

My life has been one of late blooming and discovering the world. I grew up in a small town of 190 people in rural Eastern Oregon of the USA until I was a teenager. My friends have described me as funny, curious, a bit to myself and kind.

My current work for the last 13 years has mostly been involved with humanitarian type work in several different countries. Currently I am working with refugees in South Sudan (some photos at www.dinneen.org).

I am happiest with a comfy bed and a shower. Everything else is just a bonus. On a personal level I have so much curiosity about the world and people that I wish I could live forever to learn everyone's story.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am just getting started on couch surfing. I think I like the chance to meet people in their home countries. If I ever settle down a bit I hope yo offer a comfy place for fellow couch surfers of any age.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Loved it so far.

Interests

Photography is something I like but have been lazy in learning the technical side of things.

Basketball is pure joy for me to play. I could do this everyday and never grow tired.

History is so incredible and I hope to see the places I heard about as a child

Eating food from other countries is a gift I enjoy everytime.

Meeting new people and making fast friends is a rare and treasured experience.

Oh I love love movies on the big screen. Never grow tired of them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Helping a refugee lady give birth and having the baby named after me is one of my most humbling moments.

2. Sleeping in snow caves on the border of Russia and Georgia.

3. Sitting on a point on Kauai and seeing a pod of whales float in front of the shimmering orange sunset. So vivid I cannot believe my luck.
