About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find meaning in everything around me, see beauty far and wide. Open myself up to change.

ABOUT ME

I'm easy going and I love to try new things. Is that vague enough? I'm really excited to see new aspects of the world and connecting with people through Couchsurfing has given me an amazing opportunity for that.
I just finished a degree in Physics and Astronomy, and then promtly took a plane to Nova Scotia to stay at a University and learn French. I'm excited to redefine my life outside of school. I will be travelling all through Canada on my way back to BC!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing has opened up some amazing opportunities. It gave me a push to do a roadtrip from Vancouver to California, and it introduced me to people from different walks of life that I likely would have never met otherwise. I really identify with the community here; sharing and being open for the sake of beaing open.

Interests

I study astronomy/astrophysics. Let's talk science!
I love coffee; I roast my own beans. I really enjoy cafe exploring.
I like hiking, exploring, cooking, dancing. I'd love to cook some vegetarian/vegan meals together!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, LOTR, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Breakfast Club
Books are harder for me to narrow down my favorites, so here's a few I've recently read and enjoyed:
Frankenstein - Mary Shelley
Oryx and Crake - Margaret Atwood
The Bell Jar - Sylvia Plath (read on the beaches of Hawaii. Maybe not the most suiting)
The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles - Haruki Murakami

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Left my house when even the thought of getting out of bed was terrifying.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I make my own paper! I can teach you how to re-use stuff. I'm an avid sewer so I can also give you a hand repairing any clothes you've accidentally ripped.
