About Me

I'm a 32 year old creative professional at a bit of a crossroads in my life. I had the most incredible experiences and made true friends when I couchsurfed in France around 10 years ago. I'm looking to spend some time in the South of France this July and thought I would see if similar experiences and exchanges still exist, I hope so!

As a person I'm easy going, appreciative of the world and people around me, contemplative but keen to keep trying new experiences. I love to spend my time exploring nature as well as sit back in cafés or at music events and art galleries, seeing the sights but also meeting local people. I'm a keen amateur photographer and passionate about understanding languages, cultures and different perspectives on how to live in this sometimes crazy world.

I studied French Spanish and History of Art for my degree and I'd say this is still at the heart of who I am ten years on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to host one day when I have a permanent place of my own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During my 'year abroad' back in 2012/13 I started my couchsurfing experience in the Southwest of France. Through some generous and brilliant hosts, I was lucky to explore regions and cities of France that I had never been to before, improve my language skills and confidence hugely and make some great friends along the way. I found Couchsurfing so rewarding, and the mutual exchange between host and surfer did everything to make my experiences so unique and incredible.

Interests

I love music - live gigs, festivals and of pretty much all genres (jazz, classical, rock etc.). I'm also a huge, if amateur, fan of art and photography. I am a very active person who loves to be outdoors whether cycling, walking or swimming wherever I can. Over the last few years I have deepened my connection with nature and I have a great passion for and knowledge of plants and wildlife which I am always looking to expand on.
