About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Our mission is to meet vegans from all over the world!

ABOUT ME

My name is Tash. I live in the centre of Brugge together with my husband Gijs. I'm a teacher and Gijs is an HR-officer. One of the most important things in our life is being vegan. We'd love to meet vegan travellers from all over the world so that's why we've made this profile. We believe travelling can be made easier when we help each other out in finding food, shops, animal-friendly activities, ... Note that we get an aweful lot of requests (Brugge is a very popular destination) and we will mainly accept to host vegetarians/vegans because otherwise we'll no longer have a personal life... I'm sorry if we couldn't host you because of that reason.

PHILOSOPHY

We're free-thinkers, not religious of any kind but we don't judge. Everyone is free to believe what he wants although we think a human being can only enjoy freedom to the fullest when you don't have to live by certain rules (invented by others).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Our contribution to the CS project is hosting as many vegetarian/vegan travellers as possible and help them out in Belgium regarding where to eat and what to do. We also travel a lot ourselves so we hope to get a couch in return every once in a while.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a CS profile a couple of years ago but decided to make a new one for Gijs and me. In the past I have stayed at people's homes and people have stayed at my place. I haven't had any bad experiences and I believe this is a great and interesting way of travelling and getting to know new people from all over the globe.

Interests

Obviously we love travelling but we're also interested in cooking and eating great vegan food, listening to music, going to shows, watching a good film, hanging out with friends and family, walking with my parents' Irish wolfhounds, ...
