About Me
CURRENT MISSION
living life to the fullest, cramming it with as much goodness as I possibly can!
ABOUT ME
I love learning and experiencing new things. I'm up for (almost) anything, and if I'm not, a small amount of convincing will usually do the trick, and I'd be there, trying out whatever. I love nature, being surrounded by wide open spaces or a dense forest near water. I'm a bit of scatterbrain, intelligent, a good listener.
UPDATE: I am now married to my best friend in the world, and we get to have all of our very cool adventures together!
PHILOSOPHY
You have only one life. Make as much of it as you can! Leave the bad things behind, but keep the lessons they taught you. Decide to see everything in life as a miracle.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am telling everyone I know about this wonderful Couchsurfing concept and already have quite a few converts!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've stayed on 4 different couches in Dublin. Two weeks of free accommodation, good food (sometimes), great company (the whole time!). All my couchsurfing experiences have been positive. We've actually had someone move out of their own room, so me and my friend could stay there (thanks Sasha!), these same people also sacrificed two cutting boards, a table and a chair so that we could have a nice fire for our Christmas lunch!
I stayed 200meters from the Eiffel Tower in Paris and had a very lovely host there, who went out of his way to make us comfortable, show us around and let us experience some French delicacies!
I've also stayed in Amsterdam with a guy who spent his whole day being an absolutely great tourguide and showing us places we'd never have found, being just tourists there.
I have not yet hosted anyone, but that will soon change once I have a couch!
Interests
I LOVE photography. I love taking photos and looking at photos. I do the odd bit of painting. I love reading > disappearing into another world (it's the cheapest form of travel!). I love surprises (of the nice kind!) and adventures. I love listening to stories. And I am loving travelling too! It's great fun.
I love the outdoors and we do trail running, rock climbing, camping, surfing and scuba diving whenever we get the chance!

The wildlife at the Chobe game reserve in Botswana (hippos, crocs, birds, elephants, lions, giraffes, etc!)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll teach you about South African culture, photography, maths (if anyone's interested?).
I'd love to learn about different cultures, travels and any wisdom you picked up along the way. I'd also love to learn how to make different traditional dishes.
