About Me
CURRENT MISSION
A new look and a new ME!!
ABOUT ME
There is not much to say about me. I work full-time. I am also a full time mom with two beautiful daughters. I am planning to work on my Masters in the near future. I am still deciding on what my major is going to be this time.
My friends describe me as loyal, friendly, caring and someone they can definitely count on. I am family-oriented, so I do like to talk about my family and friends.
My family is originally from Upstate New York. However, I was born in Illinois, but raised in New Jersey and Virginia. I am definitely a "city girl" because of the way I was raised. Trying new adventures does take me a little more time either because I have never tried it or I have a little fear. But eventually I will do it!
PHILOSOPHY
Family comes first! Don't let things and/or people get to you. Treat people the way you want to be treated. Stay positive. Believe in yourself. Keep your head up. And finally, I always do what is best for myself and my family.
I always try to live my life at the fullest because life is too short. You never know if it will be the last time you see and/or speak someone who means something to you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
This is a new experience for me. I was convinced to give CouchSurfing a try. I have met some new friends. It is always nice to see other friends who have the same interests I have. So this has been an awesome experience so far!
Interests
Kickboxing (which I have been doing a lot lately), weightlifting, Taebo, hiking, writing, some reading, shopping, cooking, fine wines, spending time with friends and family and traveling (when I have the chance).
I recently learned about the great outdoors. I learned how to swim and kayak within the last couple of years. I actually enjoy kayaking and hiking when I am physically able.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love R&B, Soul and Latin music! But I do listen to just about anything.
Bishop T.D. Jakes is one of my favorite authors. He writes books that motivates people and gives awesome advice on life. Most of his books keeps me encouraged and gives me some sense of direction in my life. Try reading one of his books sometime!
I do like comedies and action/adventure movies. And I do like a few "chick flicks." I do not like scary movies and I will not watch them!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have not done anything that seems amazing, except finally getting my Bachelors degree. I think getting my Bachelors degree is an amazing thing because it took me so long to acheive it. It was hard working full-time and being a full-time parent and trying to go to school. Now I am able to work on my Masters degree.
I have seen some things I think are amazing. I remember when I was younger, my mother took my sister and I to Niagara Falls. It was like how it is on television and books. It is so beautiful. It is so amazing to see!
Another place I will never forget is when I went to Cairo and saw the Pyramids. And I rode a camel for the first time in my life! There is so much history in Egypt. I learned so much on that trip.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am willing to learn and share new things. I would like to learn about other people's cultures and their cuisine.
