Music, Movies, and Books
I read all sorts of stuff! Everything from John Green novels (Looking for Alaska is a favorite), to Stephen King, satirical literature (Chuck Palahniuk, author of Fight Club, is on the top of my list), Harry Potter, cookbooks, books about organic farming and permaculture, to Jack London, to Ernest Hemingway's short stories, T.S. Eliot (I have a quote of his tattooed on me), and Sylvia Plath. I love Jon Krakauer's writing (as many of us adventure folk do).
I'm not a huge movie buff, I enjoy documentaries and sci-fi/fantasty mostly, but I'll give anything a shot. Things that make me think!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching a rainbow form over the glacier while glacial trekking in Patagonia Argentina.
Mango harvesting in Peru!
Teach, Learn, Share
Life is a learning experience in itself. I have an extensive knowledge of darkroom black and white photography in various formats (35mm, medium and large formats) as well as studio lighting. I love knitting/sewing, cooking/pastry decorating (baking breads and cakes especially). I can make a tasty meal out of whatever I find in the kitchen. I have a pretty substantial knowledge of astrology, herbal lore and medicinal uses of plants and roots. I can basically cook up an herbal remedy for any illness. But of course, I'm always learning more about all of them and love to share and gain knowledge as well.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food and wine. (I tend to be food aggressive, it's a big deal)
Countries I’ve Visited
Argentina, Bahamas, Chile, Peru
