I've been traveling outside of the USA for the last 7 years. I lived in Australia, New Zealand, and Uruguay.

I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking as well as going out to bars/restaurants/movies. I can be a pretty silly person and like to be spontaneous and fun. I'm energetic, quirky, and passionate.
I love music and seeing live shows, especially blues and jazz.
I love the sunshine and laying in it/swimming.
I love making nonsensical videos and being humorous. I love using different color 35mm film, polaroids, and disposable cameras!

Friends must be LGBTQ, Poc, Black lives matter, Trans friendly and care about human rights for all people. I am a queer lady even though in a partnership with a man haha. Was in a all womyn queer Burning Man camp for years, ask me about BM :)

For work, I have sold my art, worked in cafes, bars, and my favorite local cinema in Portland, Oregon. Filmed jury depositions and have written and self published my own book. I enjoy working with plants and outside.. I work now as a service technician for cars, performing oil changes and small services. Eventually I want to get into fashion and film, maybe make my own sweaters and/or get paid to travel and take photos/videos.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It seems I only use couchsurfing for one week trips but I want to start using it for more than that. I want to hear great stories, make more friends, and have a community. I want to learn about different places, cultures, peoples.

I used couchsurfing maybe 7 years ago and stayed with two men in New York City, both were okay experiences , didn't turn out that great but I'm glad I used the site. I then stayed with a lady on Staten Island who was the perfect host! She took me out drinking and dancing, showed me around and was very trustworthy.

I stayed with two hosts in Toronto, Canada October 2018. One was horrible and one was really great :)

I DEFINITELY want to find more women hosts and travelers on here. 1 out of 6 men I've stayed with have worked out well. AGAIN , not looking for a hookup.

I'm on here because it's a good way to meet people in cities I travel to! I do love hostels but couchsurfing gives a unique, homey experience. Hopefully sometime I'll have a place where couch surfers can come.
