One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did an excursion in China. I went to the top of the Five-Finger-Mountain in Haiku alone. I didn't expected it will be so hard. I was so unexperienced. I started at the highest point at 11:30. I knew before that you need 8 hours. I am Hungarian, my motherland is flat, but that was so steep, slippery, damp and very dangerous as well, surely I had my 20 kg big bag, (I know I am an idiot). It is hard to be done something more unprofessional like that. I was just terrified by the thought that I have to carry it out, because the night is coming and I couldn't find any place where can I set up a tent for one person. As I said, It was steep. This mountain path was tiny and going on the ridge, so if you fall to the left I wont stop sliding until I bang against a rock or a trunk and if I fall to the right side that I don't know, cause I couldn't see the bottom!?! Even in the movie, one can see the bottom. :P 2 times the path was transformed into an edge of a high cliff wall. I sang Mick Jagger's hit, it was about that we will reach the top of the world (I don't remember exactly) and It gave me a lot of power. In the top, I have never experienced such totally deaf in the nature. I could hear the ticking of my alarm clock which was in my closed bag and I was 5 meters far from it. During the night, I noticed that the my waterproof tent is not waterproof. But all in all, my dawn was magical, the sky was clean and I saw why does it called Five-Finger-Mountain. All the clouds swam like the waves and in one part you could plainly see a cloud waterfall. An unforgettable experience.
