Overview
About Me
Was born and raised in Siberia, Russia. At the age of 21, moved to Izmir, Turkey where I worked at the University as an International Officer for 2 years. Received my study scholarship and moved to Manchester, UK to do my second master's for 1 year. Following that, got an internship and then a job in Paris, at the United Nations Environment Programme where I stayed for 5 years. Still working at the same place, but now moved to distant & part-time work, and thus travelling around the world!
ABOUT ME
If given three words, I would describe myself as an optimistic, ambitious and easy-going. Partially due to my personality, partially due to my studies, I love learning about new cultures, countries, religions, etc. As most people here in CS, I adore travelling. Having travelled outside of my country for the first time in 2010, I have covered more than 35 countries in the last 9 years. My idea is to have as many countries visited as my age :) Right now, I am ahead and that's great!
PHILOSOPHY
Everything happens for the best. I study buddhism and ancient Tibetan manuscripts which give a very particular perspective on the workings of the world. I believe that everything we see and experience comes from how we have behaved and treated others in the past. Thus, basically everything is in our hands!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first experience of couch-surfing happened when I lived in Turkey. I hosted a girl from Japan for couple of days. Even though we didn't keep contact, it was a very interesting experience, and I decided to try again. When I went to Hamburg, Germany, for the first time I experienced being a couch surfer myself, and it turned out to be great! My host and her friends took me out to a real German pub which I would probably never find myself. After that nice experience, I also traveled to Luxembourg and stayed at Jeremy's place who was a pretty amazing host :) We shared nice Belgium beer and had nice walks around the city. Then I met many couchsurfers around the world, and most of them appeared to be pretty amazing people.
Now looking forward to meeting you!
