Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed other people's couch for many years during my trips around the world and others have surfed my couch in the different places I've lived but I wasn't using the website before. It was always friends of friends of friends or random life encounters who needed help or offered me their help :) Since I joined the community in 2013 I got to make a few great experiences via CS. This past summer, my friend Emma and I traveled around Canada and the US for 3 months and we couchsurfed in Vancouver, Seattle, Boise and Salt Lake City. What amazing times we had! I can't wait to have many more! Yeah!
Interests
Pretty much anything that has to do with meeting new people and cultures, discovering places, sharing experiences... I think I ended up in the right place, didn't I?
People are my main interest in life, I never tire of studying and experiencing what makes us human. I think I'll never stop finding it complicated but so astonishing at the same time.
Besides that... I'm a nature lover which is one of the reasons that pushed me to move to Rimouski, Québec. I wanted to be able to spend time outdoors as often as possible. I also enjoy food and wine a lot which I inherited from my 5 years studying in a hotel school (in another lifetime). Food and wine lovers? Holla at me! Oh and obviously, I love travelling and (attempting) to speak foreign languages!
Lastly, I also enjoy watching movies, listening to music, singing (poorly) and dancing (i'm a better dancer than singer), going to parties, coming home late, chatting for unlimited periods of time... Classics!
So, when are we surfing together? :)

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite books of all times :
Le Petit Prince (St Exupéry), Candide (Voltaire), On the road (Kerouac), Le Prophète (Gibran), L'enfant (Montessori), A Long Walk to Freedom (Mandela).
(But please, don't think I'm some intellectual always serious kind of person, I also enjoy reading teenager bestsellers now and then! haha)
Music : there is no way I'd be able to tell you what I listen to, music is a huge part of my daily life, I listen to music at least 6 hours a day! To make it short, I'd say there's very little I wouldn't be willing to listen to!
Movies : when it comes to watching a movie, I tend to -almost always- go for an independent production whether it's American, European or Quebecois. I love movies that talk about common life stories because I think extraordinary lies in very ordinary things. I also enjoy movie soundtracks a lot so, if the soundtrack is great, you can be pretty sure I'll enjoy the movie.
But on the 'ridiculous doesn't kill' side of things, now and then I happen to watch cheesy rom com more than I should and you can make fun of me about it, that's totally ok!
