I am a 25 year old University student of Osnabrück, Germany. I study English and art in order to become a High School teacher. I am currently working for the International Office at the University. My task is to prepare Summer and Spring Schools for international students and tutor them during their stay in Osnabrück. This has been a very fun thing to do and I enjoy the exchange with different cultures.
During my spare time I enjoy going running, cooking, biking and taking lots of pictures. Last year I took part in a 'Tough Mudder' - a 20 km/12 miles obstacle run in northern Germany.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel the world with my boyfriend Christian before both of us start as teacher trainees in High School in 2020. (Here you can find his profile if you want to get to know the both of us: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/christiancordes).

Couchsurfing is the perfect way to get in touch with local people and experience a more genuine perspective on the local culture. By connecting with locals we possibly also have a good way to find hidden places around the town and recommendations on what to see and do. Making friends and connections worldwide is a benefit for everyone and we are excited to try it out by having and giving temporary homes for travelers.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
One of my all time favorites definitely are the Harry Potter books. I also enjoy thrillers such as Stephen King and Sebastian Fitzek. Despite that I am not very particular and just read what I get for Christmas and birthday presents. :D

I spent a High School year as a Senior in Tennessee and joined the Reserved Officer Training Corps of the US Marines when I was 17.

Teach, Learn, Share

Exchanging traditional food recipes by cooking for one another is a fun and delicious experience. I can also teach about photography and digital editing if there is any desire to learn something about it. :)
