ABOUT ME

Finished undergrad in North Carolina this past June and my heart led me back to Switzerland. I had travelled here twice before and things just felt so right. Studied in Lille during fall 2011. Used a eurrail pass to travel around on the weekends and was able to see lots of places in a short period of time. Once again, I'm trying to tackle the French language. It's such a challenge for me, but I want to learn so bad! Love to travel and discover. There are way to many places in the world to stay in the same spot.
My life as an au pair in Switzerland is nice and relaxing after nonstop school for 17 years and before starting my career. After 4 years of college and partying {mostly} in America, I am living a much more healthy, calm life nowadays. However I do jump on the chance to go out when I can. I jump on the opportunity to do practically anything!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to take full advantage of all there is to learn, do, see, and feel in this life. I think through our relations with other human beings, we are challenged to grow.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since I am an au pair living with a family right now, I cannot host, but I would love to see as many places and meet as many people as I can on the weekends and on my breaks during my time here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Two: (10/11/11) Martigny, Switzerland with a wonderful woman named Veronique. She was so good to me and I hope to see her again while I'm in Switzerland! The other time was on the same trip, in Lausanne. Great conversation over tea about the differences between our countries and enjoyed hearing her opinions and ideas. After a very comfortable sleep, we had a nice, quick breakfast before I hopped on the train.

I love yoga, delicious healthy food, live music and on my Bose, walks in all sorts of places - downtown of a city, through the forest and everywhere in between

Radiohead, especially live! Wilco, Dr. Dog, Lykke Li, Flaming Lips, and pretty much all genres. My iTunes is always on shuffle. I love music festivals - went to Bonnaroo this past year and Lollapalooza in 2008. My favorite movies are 2 Days in Paris, Across the Universe, Garden State and Wicker Park. Eat, Pray, Love is my favorite book so far.
